Coming from a social work background, I have always been fascinated by the legal system and the critical role that court proceedings play in ensuring justice for all. After completing my degree in Social Work from Ryerson university and experiencing burnout from working with service workers on a personal basis, I began to explore other career fields that would go hand in hand with my degree.
As a court transcriptionist, I have been able to combine my passion for social justice with my skills in language and communication. Having extensive experience of writing case notes as a social worker, I know that accurate and timely transcripts are essential to ensuring that the legal process is fair and just, and I take great pride in my ability to provide this service to clients. I have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines due to my excellent time management skills.
I believe that these two fields are deeply interconnected, and that together they have the power to make a real difference in people's lives.
